What to Do if you have no idea where you’re going or how to get there?
You could be stranded in a desolate island, and if you aren’t prepared, you could get killed, or worse.
Here are some ways to survive if you do decide to abandon your island, or even if you need to.1.
Don’t go out in public with any type of clothing on.
“I know people who have gotten into all kinds of trouble with the police for not wearing a t-shirt,” said Jessica Williams, a writer and environmental advocate who is an avid outdoorsy.
“And I know people that have gotten killed, so I’ve seen people get arrested for wearing shorts.
I know how dangerous it is.”2.
Don´t go out with any kind of clothing that is too short or tight.
In order to survive on the deserted island, you need a tarp or blanket, and even that may not be practical.
“It can be very difficult to have a turtleneck or long coat because you don’t know what the weather is going to be,” Williams said.
“It’s like a life jacket.
If you get into the rain, you might have to change into a hat.”3.
It’s a survival tactic to keep your food supply up.
If food isn’t readily available, you can always bring your own food.
“If you have nothing to eat, you’ll have to get to a campsite,” Williams told Business Insider.
“If you get to the campsite and you don´t have a lot of food, you’re pretty much out.”4.
Take a photo.
“I have a very close friend who has never been in a situation like this, but she knows how to take a picture,” Williams explained.
“She just snapped this photo with her phone.”
Williams has a few tips for people who decide to take the first step toward survival.1.)
Bring a camera.
If a friend has a camera, she can record what is going on on the island.
“I had my camera with me, so we could record everything,” Williams continued.
“Also, if there are people nearby, they can record whatever they can.
You don’t want to be in an isolated place.2.)
Get your own water.
There are several different kinds of water available.
You can go for a hike in the river, a swim in the lake, or a hike down to the beach.
If your body is dehydrated, you may be able to survive, but you may not,” Williams added.””
Water is a very important part of survival.
If your body is dehydrated, you may be able to survive, but you may not,” Williams added.”
And if you don`t drink enough water, you will be more likely to drown.
You’ll have no water and you’ll be dehydrated.”4.)
Get a survival kit.
When you get back to the mainland, you are going to need to pack some kind of survival kit for yourself and others.
“You don’t have any survival gear for your own.
If it was a pack of matches or a bottle of water, it would be pretty much useless,” Williams noted.5.)
Make yourself comfortable.
“Make yourself warm, have a fire going and cook some food,” Williams advised.
“Bring water and food, have shelter and make yourself comfortable.”6.
Use a map to find your way.
Williams said it’s very important to find a way to get around.
“There is a great website that has information on how to survive by yourself,” she said.
“You need a map and you need tools and you will have to do it by yourself.”
Williams told Business Insiders that people are very familiar with the desert.
“I’ve seen a lot more people than I have in my life,” she added.
“So, I don’t think we need to be scared about it.
We just have to make it as comfortable as possible and we can all survive.”7.
Get out of your house and go for an adventure.
Williams believes there are a number of different ways to find the island if you decide to make the leap.
“The most popular one is going for a walk or a walk around the island,” she explained.
The second most popular way is camping on the beach, or sleeping in the car.
“This will be a more remote area than the island, so you will likely be a bit isolated, but it’s still the safest option,” Williams pointed out.8.
Don`t go camping alone.
If you decide not to camp on the desert island, be aware that you will most likely have to stay in one place.
“Campsites can be pretty remote and very dangerous, so make sure you have a buddy with you,” Williams reminded.9.
